What is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)?

MY MESSAGE TO YOU: So you are seeing a Reiki Practitioner, getting massages on a regular basis, getting some additional energy work done, engaging in Sound Therapy and maybe regular talk therapy as well? Wonderful! Feel gratitude for allowing self care and self love in your life! BUT what are you doing at home to help your process? You cannot fully become dependent on someone else for your path, this is soley up to you. In my practice, I try to TEACH people and GIVE people the tools they need to be able to help THEMSELVES! This part is extremely important to me in what I do. I want to be able to get you to a space where you can do these things for yourself and you are coming to me for some extra support.
Teaching skills and getting people to integrate and do work at home can be difficult, but EFT is a modality you can do yourself with the help of Brad Yates and his EFTWizard to keep you moving forward in between sessions and the people you are seeing for extra support. This is MY intention for giving you this information! Take your path in your own hands and create movement. Become familiar with what YOUR body feels like, your ENERGY feels like. The more of this kind of work you do, just engaging with yourself, will make the other work you do with practitioners even MORE meaningful and integrative when you are there. My intention is for forward movement for you on your path at ALL times! I work to give you the tools to feel comfortable doing this stuff for yourself. You have all the puzzle pieces! I am just assisting you putting SOME of them together!


EFT is a powerful self-help method based on research showing that emotional trauma contributes greatly to disease. Clinical trials have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing.

EFT uses elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on 12 acupuncture points. Over 20 clinical trials published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals have demonstrated that EFT is effective for phobias, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, pain, and the list continues to grow!

Once you have seen how well EFT clears out emotional debris, you might notice that physical ailments start to fade. Headaches, back pains and other discomforts may reduce or vanish as emotional issues improve. Everyday stress may take less toll on your system once you have EFTs potent stress-reduction tools at your disposal.

EFTs Limitations:
Like any other stress-reduction method, EFT is not perfect. It is not a panacea, and it does not have a 100% success rate. But it usually works reliably for reducing stress, as you’ll see if you read the research. The case histories on this site show that the results are sometimes spectacular. EFT can often achieve substantial relief with little or no pain. This is not true for everyone, however. Some people’s issues are so intense that the mere mention of them causes emotional or physical pain. If you have emotional or physical problems it is essential that you consult your physician or licensed mental health practitioner, since EFT is not a substitute for medical or mental health treatment. Please share your experiences with EFT with your healthcare providers.
